The most VALUABLE asset in retail is shelf space.

Vendors and distributors have fought years to get lots of eye level prime space.

Right now Bud Light’s retail shelf space is nothing more than inventory.

If products don’t move, retailers must make adjustments.

Consumers struck the first blow.

Retailers adjusting shelf space for Bud Light will be just as big if not bigger blow.

Not just shelf space, but REFIGERATED shelf space.

I go to a local beer store, to, uh, buy beer. It is one of those places that basically just sells beer, and the floor space is just stack of cases of beer. All of the brands of beer are bought down to one degree or another. The Bud Light, however, is stacked over six feet high, in complete layers. Not a case missing from the stack.

Good point. It’s annoying to have to scour the beer section for non-AB products.
