Read what I said. Trump did it by executive order, those got overturned or reversed. He has no legacy except the supreme court. I look to DeSantis to tackle much of the same agenda, but cultural values I find imporant, and get them implemented via lasting legislation.
Good luck with that. DeSantis has had the luxury of having a large Republican majority in both Houses of the Florida State Legislature.
He hasn't had to deal with any Democrat majorities on the National level. In January 2013, when he assumed his office in Congress (113th Congress), the House was controlled by Republicans. Senate was controlled by Democrats. In the 114th, and 115th Congress where he served, Republicans held both Houses. DeSantis left his Congressional seat on September 10, 2018. He was gone before the 116th Congress began in January 2019, which is when the Democrats took over the House. DeSantis never served during a Democrat majority in the House, while he served as Representative.
DeSantis isn't going to be any different than any other Republican President. He will work wonders, and shit blunders.

Hw has no legacy? Trumps legacy is thr fact that the whole country knows how crooked the government is. He is a legend. Hid legacy is the fact that he took on the government he identified the enemy within, and the true foreign enemy, (everyone talking about the threat of China everday is Trump’s legacy). His legacy is a 4 year period of peace, his legacy is the fact that everyone saw that fixing the what ales the country doesnt take long, it takes the will of a citizen). Trump’s legacy is that while he could have spent the rest of his life sexing up 10s he put on the line everything he owned and built to make America great again. Trump’s legacy isnt event finished being built up yet!
And the reason Trump had limited success with legislation and had to rely on executive orders was? Congress. Does DeSantis have a plan to deal with a House and Senate that are almost evenly divided between Republicans and Democrats and whose Republican caucuses are dominated by RINO’s?
His time dealing with the Florida legislature offers him no preperation for what would await him on Capitol Hill. Can anyone seriously argue that Desantis’s legislative successes in Florida were the result of great negotiating talent on his part? DeSantis won’t get to just dictate the terms to a compliant Congress like he did in Florida.
As far as working with a hostile or at the very least a timid, risk averse Congress, I’ll take Trump any day over DeSantis. Trump is a charismatic personality who understands how to negotiate and interact with people, and who, in spite of the Congressional obstructionism he faced, still managed to pass important legislation.
DeSantis has no people skills. If he were to win the election and come to town expecting to dictate to Congress, he’d be in for a rude awakening.
