The “whatsit” in charge said the reason for that was to enforce the rule about anyone disrupting a public meeting was to be expelled - asked to leave.
If it is an established rule, then expulsion for disrupting the meeting (justified or not) actually makes sense from a consistency standpoint.
That said, unless the transcript shows otherwise, there appears to be no similar immediate sanctions for racist speech or uncivil behavior by a scheduled (I.e., he signed up to speak) speaker. That may need to change.
