I do not think Gov. DeSantis will ever be president.
I also do not think President Trump will ever again be president.
I further think no America First Republican will ever be president.
I think the only ‘Republican’ that could possibly ever again become president is a Uniparty Republican along the lines of a Mit Romney.
Who knows.
The next successful Republican ticket for POTUS/VPOTUS may well end up being Jenner/Mulvaney.
