Sometimes, as now in El Salvidor, the harsh "Pinochet"-style remedy is called for, to manage or eradicate a particularly evil infestation of criminalism or Marxism. (But I repeat myself.)
I hope it doesn't come to that in America, but we're getting closer by the day...
