One of his announced plans is to think up an abortion compromise that everyone supports.
That is what he said.
The problem I have with his statement is that is doesn’t sound reasonable.
I would appreciate it if Trump - or even one of his supporters - would reveal the contours of such a compromise.
There are no bigger “globalists” than the groomers at Disney. I’m sure you’re aware they were the second largest donor to the Trump campaign in 2020. Obviously, you don’t care. That’s ok. Just don’t pretend your support of Trump is anti-globalist and conservative based.
Most recognize there are rare instances when aborting a pregnancy is a rough decision for the parents....and it is their decision based on the health matters they are facing. They should never have to be concerned of breaking the law. It’s a painful and tough position to be in - but it is private.
What leftist women want is to use abortion as a birth control means - and that’s just murder.
DeSantis did well against Crist if I recall. At least Florida voters thought he did.
Well, one Republican Florida voter later compared DeSantis unfavorably to Crist; that made me kind of mad.
That remark was uncalled for.
They want to use it as a sacrament.

Is it not possible to like both of these human beings? At such a dire time in our country I’m astonished that so many conservatives are playing school yard politics. Desantis is not the enemy. We have formidable enemies right now and need to stop the infighting.

If that is the contour of Trumps’ national abortion compromise that “everyone” can support - I don’t think it will work.
One reason I say that is that the abortion industry will never agree with limiting abortion.
So I’m still wondering what Trump - the guy I’ve voted for several times - is referencing.

That’s pretty thin gruel and way off the mark. DeSantis is being funded by the Globalists and the Deep State who want and need to destroy Trump in order to survive. Period. If Trump gets back into Office, it’s game over for that lot. Globalist support for DeSantis is public knowledge and is what’s enabling DeSantis and his campaign. He is in their pocket.
Disney has had no influence on Trump’s anti-Globalist policies one way or another. What are you even talking about?
Floridians aren’t happy with DeSantis bailing on them. He’s so unpopular now that he can’t do a live rally in the State for fear of drawing a meager crowd (as he has in Iowa) and comparing poorly to Trump’s massive events.

Fauci couldn’t be fired. He was a federal employee. I’m surprised RDS doesn’t know this after spending 6 yrs in Congress.
Federal employees can be fired for cause. It’s not easy, but it can be done. And the president can fire any person in an appointed position. I don’t know if the position Fauci held was appointed or not. But even if he couldn’t easily be fired, he could have easily been sidelined. Trump was under no obligation to follow his advice. He could have also prohibited him from speaking publicly as agency head, and if Fauci did anyways, that could have been grounds for termination (insubordination).
Not hurt just betrayed
And pro-life Floridians - there are many - aren't too sure they are happy with Trump's recent announcement that he is ready to “negotiate” with the abortion industry to reach a “compromise” that “everyone” can support.
As President, what is Trump prepared to give the abortion industry to make them support his still-secret abortion compromise.
Pleasing everyone on abortion sounds good to my ears - but is it reasonable?
If you have ideas about how Trump plans to please everyone on abortion, and if you are not sworn to secrecy by a higher authority, please share.
Meanwhile, many Floridians are concerned about any attempt to negotiate away the recent overturn of Roe by Bush and Trump justices.
