Cake has been baked.

McCarthy can likely find 112 who feel their seat is “safe” enough to vote for this and still get re-elected in 2024.

Right now there is a lot of POSING going on.

And when it comes to posing NO Republican member is better than Gaetz.

Behind the scenes they’re deciding who the 112 will be.

And HOW much they’re going to RECEIVE for their yes vote.

Does ANYONE on this forum believe that the cake has not already been baked and this is NOT going to pass?

Professional wrestling is theater, not contest.

Same deal here.

Some Republican members of the Uniparty have to put on a show so when they go back to their home districts they can say we put up a mighty fight and did all we could but we didn’t have the votes to kill it.

And those who have voted Republican for their life times will accept that just like they have ALWAYS accepted surrender.

Those who vote Republican have ALWAYS been held hostage to voting for the lesser of two evils.

Not much really changes except the demise of Our Republic has never been nearer.

I know that is true. We vote for Patriots and keep ending up with the surrender caucus! I’m going to be making note of who votes for the bill, though. Because they will be showing that no matter what they say in their campaign ads, they will vote for whatever is best for THEM, rather than what is best for this country.

I could have probably lived with the rest of the stuff in the bill, but unlimited debt ceiling for 18 months, along with the failure to cut those 87,000 new IRS agents (some good pretend outrage that was!), to me shows what a disastrous bill this is for our nation. Pretty much the final nail in the coffin.
