Seriously...better start building some serious nuclear generation and hydrogen cell technology YESTERDAY!

I'm all for nuclear power. But we're not doing that. The only nation who's capable of pulling that off right now would be the French. We have to give them credit where it's due.

A very large percentage of French nuclear reactors are not in service from what I’ve read.

Nuclear power is probably the best solution to provide significantly more electric power by far, but currently it only provides about 10% of our nations electric power. At best, it will take at least 7 to 15 years to increase that significantly.

Unfortunately, that's only about half the problem. Our current power grid, carrying this power, is already overloaded in many areas, and cannot carry any more power without significant upgraded capacity. That actually may be more difficult than building new nuclear capacity.
