I have similar thinking except Catholics have worked themselves onto that list.
Really?
Maybe one might need to start paying more attention to this guy.
Thanks for posting.
LI is my sole remaining online presence - static/unused for over 5 years - and now I have a 3-step template for going out strong.
But I’ll footnote it all with a nice posting targeting trans violent activism, just in case they don’t notice me.
;-)
RE: Making them “welcome” doesn’t negate the Constitutional requirements.
Sure, but let’s hold off our judgment until we REALLY find out that Vivek’s candidacy does not meet the constitutional requirements.
One thing is sure — he was born and raised in the USA, which makes him a CITIZEN at birth.
What is uncertain — were his parents CITIZENS at his birth, or only legal residents? That is the Natural Born issue that has never been settled satisfactorily.
But then, those questions apply also to Kamala Harris and Nikki Haley.
Fair point about what has happened in India. Like many countries India does not have full freedom of religion and has some restrictions on evangelizing. However if you’ve heard him speaking about issues in India, he speaks out very much against the caste system and how abhorrent it was. He is totally for meritocracy, don’t think he cares about any else’s religion.
RE: Vivek Ramaswamy is a Hindu.
Let me present to you a theoretical scenario :
Suppose Vivek won the nomination or was chosen by Trump to be his running mate and the opposition is STILL the Biden/Harris tandem …
What will you do in November 2024?
There are only the following choices as I see it :
* Vote Vivek or Trump/Vivek
* Vote Biden/Harris
* Vote third party ( and the candidates in this party must be Christians)
* Stay home
If being a Hindu is an issue ( or being a Christian convert like Haley) is an issue even though they are Pro-life, anti-woke, conservative and constitutionalists, then I guess your main criteria is religion and nothing else.
Comparing Vivek to 0bama is a special kind of stupid, and I really don’t give a d#$# about his skin color. Apparently you do. BTW, I detest 0bama.
“I guess your main criteria is religion and nothing else.”
Not really. I’d vote for an atheist if I knew for CERTAIN he was 100% committed to be a strict Constitutionalist, especially re the 1st Anemdment.
“Comparing Vivek to 0bama”
It was in the context of his NBC status; nothing at ALL re race. Both Obama and VR HAPPEN to have dark skin, but the subject was the NBC status. Sounds like I AM NOT the racist here; YOU’re the one who jumped on skin color.
I recall voting for Alan Keyes, and there are blacks I’d vote for now in a heartbeat.
Right. You were the first to bring it up. I couldn’t care less about it. I guess that make me a racist in your small mind. I’m glad to hear that you’re not.
Another reason to like Vivek. The Truth is now "Hate Speech" to Microsoft and Epstein Island Alumni, Bill Gates.
After I read “The Creature from Epstein Island”.
Sorry about the snark. I’m trying to do better. :) My apologies.
Check again… he has ties with big pharma.
Oh, no! Big pharma bad. Never mind how many lives it has saved or made better.
;-)
It boils down to “Better an ethical pagan than an immoral apostate.” for me.
So, why mention Vivek’s religion? I think it should be irrelevant.
I have to concede you are right, whatever we may think of him.
Britain is going to have a big problem with this down the road, and Hindus and Muslims jockey for power in Britain, they already have a Hindu for PM now.
