If he is the nominee, it is because they have determined he’s a Trump stopper.
As a Trump supporter, I fear RFK Jr. far more than any other Democrat, his message absolutely would likely put him over Trump in a General election.
If you listen to RFK Jr, his message is very similar to Trump’s.. He uses different phrasing, and wording, but his message is articulating many of the very same concepts that made Trump a national political figure.
RFJ Jr. uses terms like Caputured Agencies, not working for the public etc... But in reality he’s saying the same thing.. DC is corrupt and not working for the people, and then he cites the various ways in which he has taken them on and beat them in court on other things.
He’s talking about the same general concepts that Pushed Trump into prominence.. he is against the open southern border, he’s stated he’d make it impervious if elected... etc etc etc. He’s talking about the SAME general concepts as Trump. He’s delivering a populist message...
The Dems establishment, absolutely do not want RFK Jr. They are doing everything they can to keep him down. Even so he’s already polling around 20% among D primary voters.
For RFK Jr to get the nomination, he’d have basically pull off the equivalent of what happened on the R side in 2016. He’s have to win IN SPITE OF THE establishment of his party... And his part is far more corrupt and controlling of things... As I stated before the D system is set up to a point where Superdelegates have complete control, regular delegates are completely for show any more.. someone could literally win every single primary vote in every state, and still wind up not being the nominee, because super delegates hold enough power to select the nominee by themselves and are not under any obligation to respect the vote.
Now, with that said, if RFK Jr. can actually get his message out, 2024 could be the 2016 for the D’s.. where the peon voters refuse to go along with their script.
This is a long shot based on how the D’s have things set up, so we shall see.. but kid yourself not.. if RFK Jr. would be the nominee, I think he’d handily crush Trump in a general election. He’s talking the same populist and obvious things that Trump does, but is free from the personality type baggage that Trump has. I think the Trump base will be full on in Trumps corner no doubt.. but the moderates that voted Trump based on his message/counter establishment/anti-globalist/Jingoism will find most of that in RFK Jr., and think he’ll win that group handily.
However, don’t kid yourself, RFK Jr. will have to basically have a populist coup to be the D nominee, the establishment D wants NOTHING to do with him, even if he could beat Trump.
