I liked Desantis until he started running for president. When it was clear that he would run he seemed to change into a 100% politician. Every word he spoke seemed poll tested and approved by handlers before he would speak them. He doesn't come across as genuine or spontaneous. If he wants to raise his poll numbers he needs to look more natural and less staged.
