Visit from feds? Do they mean the armed raid?
Actually.. this was before the raid. It was at the meeting where Trump handed over an envelope with some documents.
The point of this is to show that the documents were not secured until a day before they came to the door.
Trump said they were secured all along.
The issue here is the Espionage Act. Some of the documents dealt with sensitive issues. Their classification is irrelevant. It’s what they were bout that matters—certain categories are not supposed to be removed from their original location.
But, Trump has confused the issue with his blustery “But I am Trump” arguments. This is the case where he has some liability.
If a jury believes this “custodian” it would mean someone lied to the Federal Agents. That’s not good.
