COVID is bad for old people.

It’s very bad for old unvaccinated people.

Florida had plenty of both.

But people are arguing that all can be forgiven because after all there are so many old people in Florida.

When it's just the reverse:

When you have a high proportion of old people, you should try harder to prevent the illness and deaths, not be more slack about it, and then use your high aging population as an excuse for your high numbers.

The removal of the protections was a political ploy at the sacrifice of real people.
