What was wrong with the old flag?

(IMHO, the old one was better.)

I agree. The old one is more visually interesting, and the elements look as though they have some stories to tell. The new one just looks like an company logo.

The flag issue in Georgia was settled with what we now call the Pirate Flag. Its mostly black. Nobody flies it.
