I actually saw Emmanuel Cleaver speaking waaaaay back when - the main topic was MLK.
I was sitting in the student lounge doing my homework. Some time after that I met his wife. She was nice.
4242 Indiana avenue, just off of 42nd street. Anything west of Troost is the badlands. I was in high school about 10 blocks from there.
