I do not know whether the statistic Trump cited is accurate; however, the headline leaves out the context and is misleading to that extent.

Even if the stat is correct, it would still be misleading ... since Trump knows (because he lives there) that Florida probably has the 2nd largest population of the elderly (lots of retired New Yorkers) in the nation. And Covid-19 was particularly deadly for the elderly, especially ones with other illnesses.
Trump being Trump is not a good look, since it reeks of dishonesty.
