Seems to me third largest state would have third largest death count. Meanwhile, the state was mostly open, not like NY.
I don’t accept Trump’s claim at face value, but it must also be remembered that covid affected seniors most, and Florida has the largest population of seniors in the nation. Covid should have been devastating in Florida. That it wasn’t was largely due to Desantis prioritizing the vaccine availability for seniors and other at risk populations, not insisting on forcing everyone to get vaccinated. Just another spurious claim by Trump. He reminds me of Harry Reid - he will make the most outrageous claims knowing they are false, as long as they might damage his opponents. Honesty is not a consideration for him.
New York’s deaths occurred early on, before there was a shutdown, and were largely due to Cuomo’s disastrous policy of forcing Covid sufferers into Nursing homes where they ended up killing lots of other residents.

Trump is losing me with his rhetoric. dont no what else to say...I will support the nomination but doing this hurts conservatism when it comes to 2028. you have to take some of the bad with the good that is trump. this fight we see is one of the reasons we like him but it stings when his punches are not hitting the targets, we want him to hit in the democrat party.
