The Opioid problem has been going on in CA Bay Area since the 90’s.
Walgreens had nothing to do with it.
The cause was:
Dr careless prescriptions
Illegal internet sales
Drugs from Mexico
War in Afghanistan (cheap opium -> Drug companies)
San Francisco encouraging drug use.
I heard of my first Heroin death back around 2000 in the Bay Area.
I remember because it sounded so strange as I thought Heroin use ended back in the ‘60s.
...and Walgreens would have been sued if they refused to fill the prescription.... This country totally sucks!
