Yes those are good reasons to be wary of him, but I believe the Bushies chose him, as an "anyone but Trump" move. If DeSantis sought them out, that would be a grave error of judgment. There isn't an dime's worth of difference between Biden and the Bushes.

And yet DeSantis has Jeb Bush show up and support him on multiple occasions this year.

It's not like DeSantis can't just say no to the Bushes. It is totally within his power.
