Last week, a Florida teacher reported she received a disciplinary letter from the Department of Education. She is facing disciplinary action for showing the Disney movie “Strange World”. The movie has LGBTQ themes and a parent complained when their child reported viewing the movie at school. The teacher in question was interviewed this morning on CNN.

In the interview, the teacher justified the movie by claiming students already talk about these topics and she cannot be expected to police all their conversations.
She knew EXACTLY what she was doing when she showed this movie. She should be fired.

She didn't ask the school for permission to show the movie and the form she sent home for parents to give permission asked parents to name movies from Disney/Dreamworks that parents would be against their kid seeing. She is in the wrong.

Several commenters suggested Unions protect this kind of behavior and should lose funding, or parents should just pull their children from public schools altogether.
Teachers are paid to teach school curriculum, not their beliefs.

That’s the spirit! The way to effect change in our schools is to get involved, run for school board, and vote. That is how we ensure teachers understand parents and citizens have the last word about what happens in local schools.
This sort of argument is a pretty good way to make sure that parents keep leaving the public school system in droves.

Surprised the school did anything about it. Well, they haven’t until they fire her and stamp “Do Not Rehire” on her permanent record.
If parents have no rights, perhaps she’d like to foot the bill for all the students’ wants and needs.

The left and teachers union are installing LGBTQXYZ into schools to plant seeds and gain millions of little kids to make their “idea of sexuality” the norm vs. abnormal and immoral.
They’re doing this just like they did by installing left radial hate government professors into the colleges, then high school and now elementary.
There is little time left to teach the basics of years ago in schools, math, science, civics, reading, english, social studies. More time given to social justice, LGBTQ stuff, drag queen performances, etc.
They’ve installed their brand and ideology in school boards, while we worked and raised our families.
If you want to restructure a society go after the kids first they are the easiest to train and will out last the resistance groups.
