Florida is eliminating Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives in higher education, which Gov. Ron DeSantis said have been used as a “veneer to impose an ideological agenda” in universities.

DeSantis is signing Senate Bill 266, which specifies that Florida institutes of higher education can not use state or federal funds to promote DEI initiatives

DeSantis explained that the bill will effectively “reorient our universities back to their traditional missions,” which is to treat people as individuals and elevate merit over superficial characteristics promoted by the radical left.

The lefties will ignore it. The only way to stop it is to allow officers of the universities to be personally sued for violations

Actually this is why I want DeSantis to stay Gov of FL.
He can start working with other red state gov to help fix their states.
CA has been doing this for decades and they managed to damage AZ, UT, ID, MT and totally flip CO.

Heard by a Cornell professor this morning during an interview he gave discussing how a free speech study group at Cornell was being loaded with DEI advocates who don’t really want free speech.

He calls DEI out for what it really means - division, entitlement and intimidation.

Drive that one home everywhere until all conservatives addressing the media on the topic use that line - DEA means division, entitlement and intimidation, and how we are not and will not be initimidated.

The Cornell professor also related that his own classroom polling has shown him that 70% of his students do not speak their mind in most of their classes; that DEI is intimidating them into just keeping their mouths shut.

Trump will remain silent. It’s clear he is siding with Disney and planned parenthood.

Have to ask the question, why haven’t the other republican governors done the same? Why haven’t the republican party pushed for this in all states?

It is long past time for DEI to DIE. It should never have been born.

DIE is a violation of the civil rights act as it makes race a factor in all things.

“Actually this is why I want DeSantis to stay Gov of FL.”

He is limited as governor. These actions and policies implemented nationally would provide a huge turnaround.
