My guess is probably about 80-90% of voters who prefer someone other than Trump or DeSantis prefers DeSantis over Trump. Trump needs a large field of also-ran opponents for as long as possible. If there’s a mass exodus after Iowa, he’s gonna be in for a fight.
Wrong, Trumps numbers consistently go up when the field is less people. A lot of these polls have to throw in Romney, Cheney and a bunch of others who are clearly not running to have Desanctimonius down by only 35. Trump is the most popular politican in the country and its not really close. Everyone else is trying to NOT be him in order to get attention. The closest is defined Obama....I say it’s not close but its probably more accurate to say Obama and Trump are 1 and 2 interchangeably.
