Agreed,

I also fear that Trump can’t win without a united party, no other Republican can win without the MAGA voters.

I also fear that Trump can’t win the general election with just MAGA support, he has to have a united Republican party and gain new voters, Biden’s insane policies might be the best weapon Republicans have to gain new voters.

I’m not worried about a true RINO like Romney, Asa Hutchinson, Pence, etc. winning the nomination, without MAGA support they have no chance in getting the nomination, much less winning the general election.

In the end we need a united party, that can appeal to the middle of the road voter who is tired of the insane policies of Biden.

Most definitely. Neither Trump or DeSantis have a good chance at winning especially against RFK. WI, AZ and GA are needed. The Lake case may change things, we will see. WI is lost and GA is anti Trump.

DeSantis will be effectively painted as too conservative by misconstruing 6wk abortion, don’t say gay, book banning, etc. And Trump is polarizing because of media. They defined Trump 2016, nothing new to add or surprise voters. Some voters will return to Trump because of economics, over riding there emotional dislike of him.

Just curious, has the rep party ever been united or is this a new phenomenon? I witnessed the Trump/Cruz nonsense but don’t recall the same animus after Romney or McCain won the primary. Granted, social media wasn’t a factor then. I recall not liking Romney because he played coy while the top contenders took each other out and he was the last man standing. I thought that was shady and cowardly. And of course, that is exactly what he was at his core (proven by his debates with Obama).
