...and at altitude there are no pedestrians, no bicyclists, no road debris, no downed trees, no potholes, no sinkholes, no trolley tracks, no slick pavements, no roadway construction, no mudslides, no pylons, no flooding, no blind driveways, etc.

There are fully contained transit systems such as monorails and even they can't fully function on autopilot.
