I know that "standard capacity" is a snark against "high capacity," but realistically are the 6 round magazines for my LCP and the 30 round Magpul magazines for my AR both "standard capacity?"
I suppose so.
Depends on the specific firearm. My S&W 49 standard capacity is 5 rounds. In my KelTek .22 magnum, standard capacity is 30 rounds. Both are handguns. Standard capacity for a Browning 1919 is 250.
In other words, the term is essentially meaningless. Except for political purposes.
Home invasions require substantial firepower to terminate.
Standard capacity implies there’s a substandard capacity and, to whit, a superstandard capacity. It shouldn’t matter the capacity. Magazines shouldn’t be restricted, period. If you want to lug around or try to aim an AK with a drum mag, have at it.
