Like I’ve said before: This is a purposeful attempt to weaken our military. There’s no other way to explain it.
How about the following way to explain it?
Encourage the recent wave of “immigrants” to join the military, and get a fast path to citizenship. It compensates for recruiting shortfalls *and* increases diversity.
The fact that these new recruits have little loyalty to the US as their homeland is a plus for the Left. (As is their likely voting preference, as well.)
