Re why did Trump go into enemy territory. Simple, because that is where the enemy is and the first rule of warfare is that you take the war to them, on their territory. You don’t wait for a known enemy to bring the war to your territory.

Looking back at what I wrote, it might be unclear that I agreed with his strategy to appear. I was not one of those who thought it was a bad idea.
We didn’t watch live to avoid being counted in CNN’s ratings, but saw enough clips to see that he was in fine form, and LOVED when he made his off-the-cuff assessment of the host near the end. He did what he does best. The whining and outrage expressed by the left were icing on the cake.
