I have posted on the JFK bill many times over the years.
The last bill he signed, and it has been a disaster.
The Kennedys lobotomized JFKs sister and put her in a mental institution because she didn’t listen to her old man.
Any Kennedy talking about institutionalizing people is a huge red flag. Not saying it isn’t a problem. Just saying shoot the messenger.
The real crisis is that the mentally ill have taken over control of the Uniparty when those sociopaths should all be institutionalized.
“....“US population 1955: 161 million US population 2023: 332 million

This one post answers the homeless problem, rash of shootings and the uncontrolled, rude and violent segment of society we read about daily.

“The introduction of thorazine, the first psychotropic drug, was a milestone in treatment therapy, making it possible to calm unruly behavior, anxiety, agitation, and confusion without using physical restraints. It offered peace for patients and safety for staff.”

“Under new mental health laws in the 1950s, the Fulton hospital initiated a modified system of outpatient care. In the 1960s, the hospital established community clinics in Mexico, Hannibal, Rolla, Lebanon, and Eldon. By 1970, a typical treatment for mental illness included a brief stay at the hospital for stabilization. Upon release, the patient received in-home visits from trained staff who assisted with medication schedules.”

JFK was expecting an inpatient reduction of “50 per cent or more”.

“....they published their first clinical trial in 1952, in which they treated 38 psychotic patients with daily injections of chlorpromazine without the use of other sedating agents. The response was dramatic; treatment with chlorpromazine went beyond simple sedation with patients showing improvements in thinking and emotional behaviour. They also found that doses higher than those used by Laborit were required, giving patients 75–100 mg daily.
“Deniker then visited America, where the publication of their work alerted the American psychiatric community that the new treatment might represent a real breakthrough. Heinz Lehmann of the Verdun Protestant Hospital in Montreal trialled it in 70 patients and also noted its striking effects, with patients’ symptoms resolving after many years of unrelenting psychosis.”
