Bud Light’s downward spiral has accelerated in the wake of the Dylan Mulvaney debacle — and the carnage has begun to spill into Anheuser-Busch’s other mega-buck brands, The Post has learned.
Nationwide retail sales of Bud Light were down 23.4% versus a year ago in the week ended April 29 — worse than the 21.4% decline they suffered a week earlier, according to Bump Williams Consulting and NielsenIQ data.
Meanwhile, as beer drinkers discover how many other beer brands fall under the Anheuser-Busch umbrella, the backlash is widening, according to the fresh data. “It’s an Anheuser-Busch portfolio problem now.”

It may be that Dylan Mulvaney will have to drown in an act of BudLite-icide, and then cancel the influencer and the brand label to start over.
These companies don’t get that they can’t just tiptoe around their pushing of immorality and offer a tepid “my bad” when the silent majority of normal people lash out at them. The only acceptable response is to admit that wokeness IS immoral. They have to be forced to choose between the freaks and us, and not allowed to get away with trying to pacify both groups.
I don’t always drink beer but when I do, I prefer a brand other than Anheuser-Busch.

We need to clarify the clarification - it was two paid Instagram spots by an influencer who reaches millions of people, so yes, it was a campaign, Colonel Custer.
Yep , the way the world is now, companies feel a need to prove that they are liberal. There’s no way they could come out and say that there’s something wrong with being transgender.

You’re right, acknowledging their colossal blunder isn’t going to happen. No way they will ever admit that they insulted their loyal consumers and destroyed the brand.

I don’t think that is necessary. Rather I think it would be sufficient to acknowledge that correlations are not political actors, should not pretend to be our moral teachers, that they’ve learned their lesson and won’t get involved in social/ political issues again.
Some folks are waking up. Most are still asleep and sadly will never wake up.
