Universal Studios released the second full trailer for Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” Monday, making this the must-see movie of the summer.
Cillian Murphy is in the starring role alongside Emily Blunt as Kitty Oppenheimer. The movie also stars Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh, Jack Quaid, Rami Malek and many more. The plot line is riveting, and this epic trailer brings audiences on a gripping ride, thrusting them into pulse-pounding scenes showcasing a man who must risk destroying the entire world in a wild and dangerous attempt to save it.

The profound story covers the mighty power of Oppenheimer against the fragility of the world. The good and the bad sides of what Oppenheimer and his scientists accomplished are covered in the emotionally-charged thriller.

The scientists who worked on the Manhattan Project were an interesting bunch.
Enrico Fermi is another one who played an important part.
Nils Bohr.
There was a lot of DIVERSITY, but not so much PERVERSITY.
Of course, it was a different country back then.
Edward Teller was first tasked with answering the question whether the entire world would explode in a nuclear chain reaction, since that was considered a possibility before the studies were concluded. So, for a time, the question of destruction of the world was on the table. Apparently, Teller’s calculations were correct when he said the world would not explode. I recall seeing an interview of him many years ago in which he discussed this.
“You split so easy an bleed I call you oppen-hymen”
XD XD XD
Oh man.... X....D
The one problem I have with this movie is the casting of Matt Damon in any role in it. Otherwise, I would like to see the story of Oppenheimer I think he got a raw deal later on after giving so much for our country
We have Leslie Groves Park right here in my hometown.
Didn’t they already do a movie “Fat Man and Little Boy” about this, with Paul Newman playing Groves?
Alexander the Great vs Ivan the Terrible. Epic Rap Battles of History
Ragnar Lodbrok vs Richard The Lionheart. Epic Rap Battles of History.
Theodore Roosevelt vs Winston Churchill. Epic Rap Battles of History
And so many more!
Will it mention Conant the president of Harvard that led the project?
Whoa! After I typed Oppen, autocorrect put in Oppenheimer. Well, to me, that is amazing.
picking nits are ya?
Leslie Groves Park was my launch point for inner tube trips down to Howard Amon. Then we’d have keggers at “Beer Falls” and “The Trees”. Great time growing up in Richland in the 70’s and 80’s. Go Bombers
Miley Cyrus v Joan of Arc
That was a LOT better than I expected!!!
Yep, one of my granddaughters (lives with me) is on Bombers fast-pitch softball team. I used to ride my dirt bikes all around “Beer Falls” area. No can do today. Would you believe Tri-Cities metro area is 300,000+ today?
It’s kind of similar to Apollo XIII though... You should know the ending going in... So the drama is rather subdued by the ultimate conclusion. They make the bomb, they drop it on Japan and the war is over.
The good news... We made it before the axis countries made it... Otherwise, we’d be living a different dystopia than the current dystopia that we already live in.
I love Nolan because he has strong characters in his films.
What I mean is that they struggle with existential personalities and morals. I would love to see Nolan direct a biopic about George Washington. It would cement him as the greatest director of all time.
Also highly recommend watching “The Prestige.”
Nolan’s films have gotten less watchable in recent years. Tenet was a mess. Hopefully this will be better.
Lol
