I was arguing this same point in another thread on FR today and was told by the other person how much of an idiot I was, we should just go ahead and kill all the cartel leaders and their children.

Nothing is going to be done about the cartels, if something was done, then the general public needs to understand what could come their way.

The article we were discussing said the Mexican Cartels have a presence in 3000 US cities of all sizes.

What would happen if the Cartels upped the amount of Fentanyl in their drugs to a point 300,000 died instead of the 100,000 now.

What would happen if the Cartels in the 3000 American Cities started shooting up schools and other places like that.

This situation is really bad along the border, we need to do something to stop it, however, the situation is so bad there’s going to be a real backlash to real actions we need to take.

Well, first of all we’ll need to have a President who’s interested in taking actions that are against, rather than supportive of, the Cartels.

It seems pretty stupid for the cartel bosses to kill the goose looking for golden eggs inside.

They’ve got a good thing going.

Why would they want to or need to up the ante, while bringing down a ton of bad publicity and pay back?

It would be a bigger self-inflicted wound than the Japanese bombing Pearl Harbor and expecting the USA to go crawl in a hole and surrender.

And before anyone says we’re not the same country anymore, on THIS issue, I’d disagree. We’d be furious, and payback would be relatively easy.

Do you have a link to the thread?

The cartels are worse than ISIS was. They’ve got Mexico’s governments and law enforcement mostly on their side. If that happens here God help us.
