President Biden is setting the stage for pardoning his son Hunter as his Department of Justice weighs a potential indictment stemming from a years-long federal investigation, Fox News contributor Miranda Devine warned.
Devine's comments come after Biden finally addressed the possibility of his son facing charges during a rare sit-down interview where he dismissed the chance that it would have any impact on his tenure in office.
"That mythology of Joe Biden that's been around for more than four decades, which is that he's a lovely family man… moderate Democrat, lunch pail Joe, working class Joe, the poorest man in Congress, and a wonderful family man full of empathy because of the tragedies in his own life. That's what he's playing on," Devine said during "Fox & Friends Weekend" Sunday.
"I think the end game is that he's setting up… framing this sympathy card so that when it comes time, perhaps in his lame duck period, that he will pardon Hunter and Americans will forgive him because they will say, well, Hunter was a drug addict and Joe just loves his family, and he's been through enough tragedy in his life," she continued. "Leave him alone."

The fact that Republicans will allow this disgusts me. Will the criminal democrats ever face any consequences or do we need to take the law into our own hands and start a revolution?
However, if Biden pardons Hunter, I think that we "clear-thinkers" can all take it as a sign that Biden will definitely NOT be running again in 2024. (But, of course, we Conservatives are probably hoping that he does run again, in view of how preposterous that would be.)
This is a little like the "Battle of Wits" scene in "The Princess Bride."
Westley, under the guise of the Dread Pirate Roberts, challenges Vizzini to a battle of wits and presents him with iocaine powder. He seemingly poisons one of two wine goblets with iocaine, and challenges Vizzini to figure out which one is poisoned.
Westley: You've made your decision, then?
Vizzini: Not remotely! Because iocaine comes from Australia, as everyone knows. And Australia is entirely peopled with criminals. And criminals are used to having people not trust them as you are not trusted by me, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of you.

Vizzini then proceeds to weave a complex logical argument, and each time he reaches a conclusion ("So the poison must therefore be in MY goblet!"), he then continues to a subsequent argument leading to the exact opposite conclusion ("So the point must therefore be in YOUR goblet!)
Vizzini dies after they both drink, and Westley reveals to Buttercup that Vizzini would have died no matter which goblet he drank from: he himself had successfully built up an immunity to iocaine over the last 5 years, so he poisoned both goblets. Ironically, this makes the list of arguments Vizzini presented (as of why clearly he can't drink neither from his goblet nor the one in front of Westley) completely correct; he just failed to conclude that both are deadly.

Wonder how broad a pardon can be? For instance, can he pardon the scumbag for crimes that haven’t been mentioned yet, but which a future prosecutor might bring against him?
