In the moments before New York City subway entertainer Jordan Neely was killed on an F train in lower Manhattan in the middle of the day, a witness said he had been yelling, asking for food and saying that he didn’t care if he went to jail.
For Donald Grant, a clinical psychologist in Los Angeles, the deadly act represents a white vigilantism that has become an ever-present threat to Black Americans, manifested in the killings of many men and women whose names have made up headlines and hashtags over decades.
“It reignites the terror in the souls of Black folks when we witness these killings of our people without trial, without jury, without adjudication,” said Grant, author of the book "White on White Crime: Old Lies in Contemporary Times."
“This vigilante activity is really a reminder of the dangerous conditions that Black Americans exist in now,” he added.
It’s not enough that Black people are killed, Grant said. It’s that each killing requires “public outrage for our humanity to be recognized in a way that doesn’t allow us to be murdered like animals in public spaces.”

There are some nteresting things about Donald Grant’s statement.
He is not the least bit reluctant to generalize beliefs onto people based on their race. How does he know that black people in general are in a state of terror because a violent lunatic was subdued by a white person? Because activists seize on it to agitate others and make them believe in a false sense of threat and crisis? Blatantly racist.
What if a BLACK marine had stopped the lunatic, a veteran of 40 arrests, who had punched with zero provocation an elderly woman in the face so hard it broke bones and almost cost the sight in one eye, and was yammering about his willingness to go to prison for life to spice up his current threats? I assume that in Grant’s perception, the black community would not have been “terrorized” by the exact same act, motivated by the exact same reason. In Grant’s view the black community is racist, far more so than George Wallace or David Duke.
Does Grant have any sympathy for the victims of violent lunatics who terrorize others wherever they have a captive audience? Of course not. Decent people need to stay out of the obsolete urban hell-holes run by criminals.

The tragic ordeal began when the 30-year-old [Jordan] Neely, dressed in dirty sweatpants and a stained white t-shirt, barged into the northbound subway car after the doors opened at the Second Avenue in lower Manhattan just before 2.30 p.m on Monday.
[Jordan] Neely immediately began tossing garbage around and yelling at frightened riders, prompting many to quickly retreat down the subway car, a witness told The Post.
“He started screaming in an aggressive manner,” the witness, Juan Alberto Vazquez, recalled.
“He said he had no food, he had no drink, that he was tired and doesn’t care if he goes to jail.
“He started screaming all these things, took off his jacket, a black jacket that he had, and threw it on the ground.”
As the train traveled one stop below Houston Street [Daniel] Penny at some point came up behind Neely and took him to the ground in the chokehold, [Juan Alberto] Vazquez said.
My very first reaction as well.
And I never used to feel that way.

Frankly speaking the vast, vast, vast majority of white people have far more better things to do than to hassle black people.
