It’s worth remembering that Trump had an additional 2 weeks in which he could have protected all nonviolent protestors with a blanket pardon but was backed down by McConnell under threat of impeachment conviction. One of the many heresies about Trump that are not to be uttered around here.

Seriously? We didn't even know who would be charged by the Deep State after the J6 hoax. There was next to no violence, so why should President Trump have thought pardons would even be needed?

Regardless, he's paying the legal bills of many of the prisoners, although you wouldn't know that just by reading the MSM.

It should have been obvious that they would come after anyone they could. When was the last time you ever thought that the left wouldn’t cross a certain line? Pardoning nonviolent protestors would have been easily defensible.

Paying the legal bills is of limited help when you’re facing a DC jury that already decided you’re guilty before the trial even begins. It just means you’ll have fewer bills to pay when you eventually get out of jail.

Which defendants did he pay the legal bills for?
