There’s a reason this guy was arrested 2 and a half years later. And the government wants people to know that he’s ex FBI. Perhaps this is a way to counter the claims that the FBI put actual plants in the mob to stir up the crowd. They can just explain it away that it was ex government officials that were radicals and we’re rounding up everyone - no exceptions.
He’s still a government asset.
He’ll get home confinement if anything.
And will be well compensated for maintaining the charade.
