College Board needs to admit that it’s sole utility is to sort out high-performing whites and Asians. It’d free the test to be what it was originally intended to be, an IQ and core knowledge test.
Right now the test is half that (hard questions) and half giveaways (easy questions) for lower level students.
A few years ago I’d agree; now I believe this is being done solely to admit completely unqualified non-students (just to bill tuition) as more and more non-blacks avoid college. Rather than admit they are admitting people who score 200 on the SAT, they’ll just erase the requirement.
The main purpose in eliminating ANY standardized test is to conceal from parents and taxpayers how little their children have learned; as a parent I can tell you I’ve never seen young people who know so little believe they actually know a lot. They’ve been thoroughly deceived, and only realize it when they head into the job market and realize how little they offer to employers.
