back in pre internet days I read four or five print news papers daily to get the facts because they all slanted. I thought it was bad digging down for truth, but it’s worse now with all the resources we have.
Yes, “back in the day”...
If you had a question, the “facts”, the “truth”,
(or at least the “agreed upon” facts and truth)
could be found in Encyclopaedia Britannica, or Webster’s Dictionary.
And whatever they said was considered factual ... end of story.
Nowadays, for every question asked, there are 20 different answers.
There are no “agreed upon” facts or truths about anything.
