Maher: Russia’s Invasion ‘Wasn’t Just All Biden’ — We Appeased Them in 2014
Breitbart ^ | 04/28/2023 | Ian hatchett

Posted on 04/29/2023 7:31:26 AM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

On Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher responded to accusations that President Joe Biden’s handling of Afghanistan emboldened Vladimir Putin to invade Ukraine by stating that “it wasn’t just all Biden” because prior administration’s appeased Russia, including the Obama administration.

“TRIGGERnometry” podcast co-host Konstantin Kisin said to Maher, “[Y]ou say he handled Ukraine well, and I agree with you. But, in my opinion, Ukraine wouldn’t have happened if he wasn’t President, because what happened with Afghanistan is what emboldened Putin to do this.”

The 2014 coup was the start of all this horror.

History started in 2014? Interesting, I didn’t know that.

The fact is Putin has been meddling in Ukraine since he occupied the Kremlin in 2000. My advise is to spend some time learning that history. There is lots of it including Russia poisoning a Ukrainian president in 2004.

F*** the EU: Alleged audio of US diplomat Victoria Nuland swearing

“An embarassing phone conversation about Ukraine politics between two high profile US diplomats has surfaced online. The audio clip of a woman and man is purportedly between US Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland and US Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt. The two people are heard discussing strategies to work with the three main opposition figures. She is heard telling him that she doesn’t think boxer- Vitaly Klitschko should be in a new government and also saying “f**k the EU.” The date of the conversation was not specified but the events it describes appeared to have taken place in the last days of January. It is not known who uploaded the audio clip and reports that it was the Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin have not been confirmed. This episode will be embarassing for the US as President Barack Obama has denied the administration is manipulating the Ukrainian opposition. Report by Ashley Fudge.

Problem is, Putin originally wanted Russia to be a part of NATO.

3/3 Whether in Ukraine or Sudan, Death Follows Victoria Nuland Wherever She Goes

“Victoria Nuland was known as the midwife of Maidan – the Obama-Biden point person reportedly running the overthrow of the Ukrainian Presidency in 2013-14.

Ukraine 2014 Coup d’état

After violent events associated with the Maidan revolution protests, Ukraine’s parliament ousted President Viktor Yanukovich in February 2014 and replaced him with Petro Poroshenko. Disposed Yanukovich was an existential threat because his amicable relations with Russia impeded Ukraine from becoming a European member and NATO from expanding to Russia’s border. Assistant U.S. Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, the midwife of Maidan, threatened sanctions against Ukraine’s government if President Viktor Yanukovych remained in office. (Over 100 people were killed in the protests.)

The Obama-Biden Administration helped create instability in Ukraine, leading to a Mafia-like climate where potential Russian aggression leads to Ukraine demanding protection. Protection money is easily extorted, benefiting Hunter Biden and indirectly Joe Biden.

After the coup, the US installed leaders and the Biden’s began moving money from Ukrain to the family coffers. ...

We now know that Nuland visited Sudan recently to encourage the country not to align with Russia.

Timeline of events in Sudan (at link).

What is happening in Sudan?
– Russia agrees with Sudan on the construction of a naval base.
– Biden talks Sudan out of the deal. Biden allocates $288 million to Sudan.
– Victoria Nuland is coming to Sudan. A month later, war begins in Sudan.

Someone should have told Sudan about Victoria Nuland. Death follows her. ...”

Post #20 has relevance to your post:

“Typical neo-liberal BS...Russia, Russia, Russia.

There were plenty of folks in Ukraine who didn’t want Yushchenko in office...including the current President Leonid Kuchma.”

And libtard MSM “Russia, Russia, Russia” talk has poisoned the waters, it’s been going on long before Rachel Maddow came on the scene, and recently used against Trump.

So Kuchma poisoned Skripal, Navalny and Litvininko? Interesting. I didn’t know that.

The pattern here is those politically opposing Putin end up dead. Shot, poisoned, falling out of windows, etc. If you want to believe they weren’t poisoned by Russia and also in the tooth fairy be my guest. I won’t be believing such fantasies.

Donbas has never been “ethnic” Russian majority, except, maybe, now that they’ve ethnically cleansed Ukrainians.

Also when Russia attacked Georgia in 2008 and W Bush kind of did nothing. And Putin/Bush had that awkward meeting at the Olympics around then

That’s when we should have known all this was coming

It's bullsh$t narrative.

Both Obama and Biden, whose policy was being orchestrated by Victoria Nuland, bullied the Russians, fomenting an illegal coup in 2014 and installing a government hostile to both Russia and ethnic Russians in Ukraine.

Yeah, trying to cut off Russia's naval base in Crimea, which its had since 1783, was something that Russians weren't going to tolerate.

Ethnic Russians in Ukraine weren't going to tolerate being persecuted and killed by Ukrainian nationalists hated them.

And, when we armed Ukraine with lethal weapons, trained and funded the Ukrainian army, including neo-Nazis, and teased NATO membership for Ukraine, Russia wasn't going to tolerate that, either. We wouldn't tolerate China or Russia doing something similar in Mexico.

>Obama/Biden/Nuland were against Ukrainian sovereignty in 2014 before they were for it in Feb. 2022.

Someone literally paid snipers to file from a Maidan-controlled hotel on protesters, and then they cried out that it was Yanokovych that did it.

Oookayyyyy….check the 2014 demographics, and election that year. Why else did the Ukie Azov ban speaking Russian, start bombing Donetsk, and all other ethnic cities? Because the majority were Russians. Why did Lughansk and Donetsk Oblasts declare their Independence from the Ukies? The western false narrative simply can not change history, and in fact the Azov was committing ethnic cleansing very early on and the US turned a blind eye

There wasn’t any coup. No outside power could get thousands of people to oppose the regime as they did at Maidan, although the US and NGOs encouraged the protests as did the EU. Yanukovych was Putin’s tool in Ukraine and his refusal to sign the EU accords made that plain. It was the refusal of his security forces to massacre the protesters that led him to flee. He fled, requiring the appointment of a new president and new elections. Hardly a coup.

You could also point to Putin's deals with eastern oligarchs including Yanukovych and FSB ops in eastern Ukraine (far more serious provocations).

You won't of course, because you believe that Ukraine is somehow Russia's property, which is in fact the whole question.

Its funny how “conservatives” continuously rail-on about the lack of security of the USA border, which faces a foreign invasion (even if un-armed) - but are completely oblivious to active efforts to undermine the security of other nation’s borders, particularly with organized military.

And then they are surprised and butt-hurt when the obvious reaction eventually occurs.

The USA became the ne Evil Empire at the end of the Cold War when the Warsaw Pact dissolved and NATO did not. And defense spending increased.

And according to Osama bin Laden, the reason the AQ Council decided to go ahead with the 911 attacks on the US was Clinton’s retreat, tail between his legs, from Somalia.

If you look at my posts you will see that I rarely post about the Ukrainian war, unlike some Putin cheerleaders, who are on every thread, every day, spouting Russian propaganda.

The Azov Batallion wasn't formed until 2014, in direct response to the Russian invasion of Donbas and annexation of Crimea.

It was formed as a self defense militia, in response to the occupation of Mariupol by Russians and their proxies.

So, it would have been impossible for Azov and the military to ethnically cleane anyone.

There was, virtually, no Ukrainian military presence, in the east, at that time.

After that time, the Ukrainian military and militias weren't shelling civilians.

They were fighting heavily armed Russian troops and their LPR & DPR proxies.

Russia started sending in heavy weapons and "advisers" as early as 2012.

Ukraine never forbade the speaking of Russian.

It just mandated that Ukrainian was the official state language and Russian was protected as a regional language.

Crimea is the only region with a majority Russian ethnic population, at about 58%.

Luhansk and Donetsk were about 58% Ukrainian majorities.

The referendums regarding indepence were as legitimate as our 2020 election, meaning, not at all.

This war is about resources, warm water ports and Russian expansionism.
