Government increasingly arming itself to fight against its own citizenry. This is the only conclusion as one watches government suggest that many among us are “domestic terrorists” and the like. Akin to Pogo’s famous quip, “they are identifying the enemy, and the enemy is us.” So does it seem.

“they are identifying the enemy, and the enemy is us.”

And that would be correct. That is EXACTLY how the fed bureaucracy sees those rubes out in the wilderness. There are over 2 million of them at last count. That is just those working directly for the deep state. Toss in all the lobbyist groups, the PACs et al the the number swells probably past 3 million.

“1) The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) imprisoned a 77-year-old Navy veteran Joe Robertson for 18 months for building ponds on his remote property to fight forest fires. The property in rural Montana was 40 miles from the nearest major river, and the EPA claimed that the one-foot by one-foot wide channel that Mr. Robertson used to fill the ponds was “commercially navigable water” and that he did not obtain the proper clearance from the Army Corps of Engineers in violation of the Waters of the United States regulation. In addition to the prison sentence, Mr. Robertson was fined $130,000. Mr. Robertson died in 2019, just a month before the Supreme Court overturned his conviction and reversed his fine. The EPA received $10.1 billion in funding in FY23.”

“What's interesting is that only 27 of those federal agencies are traditional law enforcement agencies. We found 76 traditional paper-pushing regulatory agencies.”

You can focus on weaponized government, but really that’s an expected side effect of government sprawl. Why are there 27 federal law enforcement agencies when the constitution is silent on the matter? Law enforcement falls squarely under the 10th amendment. Law enforcement is a local matter. Why are there 76 regulatory agencies to get in the way of the productive? Look no further for why American manufacturing has died and why the economy is so sluggish.

Republicans can’t stick to a debt limit and can’t cut spending. (There’s is no debt limit when every time the debt limit is approached, it is increased. There are no real spending cuts when more money is spent each year than the last.) Well GOP, there you have it: 27 law enforcement agencies to defund and shutter and 76 regulatory agencies to defund and shutter. Try doing that and see if things work out any better. We already know that more doesn’t work.

The more repressive the police state becomes, the more excuses they create to arm themselves and to see citizens as 'the enemy'.

The enemy of the US government is evidently US citizens, and the government is apparently preparing to deal with that enemy.

So now the IRS has submachine guns. I doubt if those guns will stay in the weapons locker. After all, when a child gets a brand new hammer he starts looking for nails to pound.

Will this cause a media outrage? Of course not. This whole thing is a Deep State Democrat idea. And the media just loves Deep State Democrats.

Below would be a popular and simple executive order for a new President

Disarm the FBI and IRS. simply declare - FBI may not have, or train on, any weapons. Not even a slingshot.

If they want to conduct raids, they can coordinate with local police and state sheriffs.

To become an elite member of the fearsome federal Rambos such as the FBI, a candidate must do one sit-up in under minute.

You must also do one push-up or more in less than a year.

“Look no further for why American manufacturing has died..”

No wonder so many companies have off-shored to China or anyhere else but the former US.
