Some people are wise and some people are otherwise.

"One of the sources emphasized that it would be an exploratory committee rather, with the official launch coming soon after".

Now that's decisive.

Reminds me of the Fred Thompson rollout in 2007.

Never trust what MSMs “report”. We should all know this by now.

Lots of energetic, if not emotional comments above.

Me?

I'll take whomever wins the GOP nom. The nomination is owed to no candidate, and I welcome any GOPer who wants to compete and show me why he or she deserves my primary vote.

I would prefer it if the candidates showed me the positives of why they deserve my vote, and showed a presidential courtesy to each of the other candidates. Refraining from insults and name-calling is a big part of this.

I'm not a fan of poisoning the well for all other candidates threat if a certain candidate does not win the nom.

My biggest issue in selection of a candidate is ability to win in the general election.

I’m just here for the nasty comments.

***********

After the election it could get much worse. If VP Harris is
on the winning ticket then look out. Biden won’t survive a
2nd term most likely. It could be interesting to say the least.

Not understanding why folks are attacking DeSantis. Are we not supposed to have a healthy primary process?

**************

I want both.

A healthy primary for Republicans looking for a “new shiny ride” & a primary process where the 45th President beats the crap out of the little ingrate from Florida.

“I’m greedy and want the best of both worlds.”

Fair enough. Just think we should never simply anoint a person to be the nominee, not even Trump.

That said, Trump deserves to be president after all he’z endured. Hopefully he will be a tad more selective in who he surrounds himself with.

Biden will be incapacitated sometime in his 2nd term, which would make Harris President.

The problem is Harris is too stupid to be President, we don’t have a parliamentary system where governments fall left & right, we’d be stuck with a silly little girl as President.

You heard it here first:

The Establishment of the United States will RIG the 2024 election AGAINST Biden because of the “Harris factor.”

Start looking to short “Biden/Harris stock” in early 2024.

I can’t disagree with this point of view.

I’m pro Trump, but its called a primary for a reason, not a coronation.

If she took over 2 years and 1 day after the next election
swearing in then she could run for President twice that would
be 10 years in total. That is assuming Biden/Harris win again.

August 18, 1920, the 19th amendment granted women the
right to vote. Some where in the coming years there will
be a female president.

I do feel it’s Trump’s simply because he has taken so many sucker punches for his supporters. Deep state and never Trumpers are attempting to deny Americans of our nominee choice.

On the other side of the token, DeSantis and others have allot to offer the process particularly after the dismal and painful Biden era. Let’s hear them out.

Besides....VP pick could come from the primary lineup.

Nah. I disagree with that one. Right now, it looks like the base is going to elect Trump in the primaries. But Biden will trounce Trump in the general election. This will set up DeSantis for 2028 anyway.

But we shouldn't have to endure 4 more years of Biden. At this point, Trump is unelectable. But things may change between now and November 2028 that may persuade more Americans to vote for Trump.

Frankly, I’m not sure anyone is elective against the fraud machine without some intervention.

Nor am I confident in a future of America as we know it unless something changes soon. Or there won’t be a 2028 opportunity.

You might be right. But I think we have a chance with DeSantis. Then maybe we can fix things. DeSantis did a lot in Florida. So he would be more proactive on this kind of thing. Trump was great but the Deep State got him. DeSantis is smarter so they won't be able to use the same tricks on him.
