Graham say he would support replacement for Feinstein on Judiciary if she resigns (always willing to help out, that Lindsay!)

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said Sunday he would support efforts to replace Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) on the Judiciary Committee if she were to resign from the chamber amid health concerns.

“If she resigned, I would make sure that whatever we did in the past when members resigned would be followed,” Graham said on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “I hope she comes back. But if she does resign, I would be in the camp of following the president of the Senate replacing the person, consistent with what we have done in the past.”

“I hope she comes back.

She barely remembers her name and Lindsey wants her weighing in on the nation's judiciary. To Lindsey, its just a club where you support your friends across the aisle and go along to get along.

I’m not a fan of Graham, but it is routine to fill an open committee spot if someone retires or resigns. I’m not sure they could prevent her spot from being filled under those circumstances anyway.

If he really said if she resigned from the chamber, meaning leaves the senate completely, of course she would be replaced on the judiciary committee. Mo need for anti Lindsay snark in that case.

You will all forget when he’s up again in ‘26 when the alternative is losing the seat. I’m tired of his $hit. Trump as POTUS could hire him at justice-short leash. He’d be replaced by Nikki Haley or Nancy Mace. Scott’s going down that same road so we’re in danger of losing both senate seats.

His abortion comments after Roe was overturned were no help-planned and calculated. Mace went along. When ‘26 comes he’ll have other fish to fry because he’s got one thing in common with the rats. He’d rather do this than ph—k.

Why doesn’t Graham find a woman and get married?

Yes, you’re correct. But when the Republicans held the majority of the Senate, NO Democrat was EVER willing to help out like Lindsay helps out the Democrats. They insisted on cloture vote for EVERY SINGLE Trump nominee. And ALWAYS voted in lockstep in committee (especially Judiciary).

The Democrats have an addle-minded, ancient Senator and should stew in their own juices. When Ted Kennedy and Robert Byrd were elderly, sickly and dying, two REPUBLICAN senators helped out and voted “as Kennedy and Byrd” would have had they been there, and said they were voting that way for that reason.

I am SO tired of this one-sided “bipartisanship”

I am told for reasons of pork & too many retired veterans are impressed with Graham’s “military service”.

He was in the JAG corps. Lawyers anywhere are not impressive.

Can’t be. Trump selected Lindsey as a member of his SC 2024 campaign leadership team, he must be pure MAGA.

“Why in the hell does SC keep voting for him?”

He wins the primaries because SC has open primaries. Dims know they can’t win the general so they vote for the Republican that will do their bidding.
