Bill Maher, you're not the brightest bulb.
It's just like asking: Why didn't Washington DC establishment Republicans enthusiastically support the hugely successful and hugely popular Republican President Trump in his 2020 reelection campaign against do-nothing Sleepy Elmo?
The answers are obvious: Common-sense black people know it's literally impossible to "solve" the five-decades-long inner-city violent crime infestation problem which continues to worsen unabated. Impossible ... because 90+% of urban black people habitually vote for Democrat big-city mayoral candidates who always promise to single-handedly "solve" the inner-city violent crime pandemic. So common-sense black folks simply move out to nicer urban neighborhoods, suburban, or rural communities. It's that simple.
The nationwide inner-city violent crime pandemic has been going on for at least five decades and it's only worsening. What do all the failed Democrat big-city mayors always claim they'll do to "fix" inner-city violent crime? Their "solution" is always to "get the guns" and "spend more" (in already very heavily indebted Democrat cities) because of supposed "institutional and systemic racism" and the "legacy of slavery." Democrat politicians' sole goal is to always pit American citizens against each other, and it works out well for Democrat politicians who gain or remain in political power. That's what all Democrats and Democrat politicians constantly talk about (especially during Presidential election campaigns): LGBTQIAPK+, sexism, homophobia, racism, misogyny, xenophobia, etc. -- group politics. That's why the majority of common-sense black people have given up and don't waste their time trying to "solve" the unsolvable inner-city violent crime problem. They simply move away. Am I right, Oprah Winfrey? Jesse Jackson? Am I right, Maxine Waters? Huh? Was that you, Oprah, that I heard mumbling something? Oh that's right, you're too busy promoting your neighbors' (Meghan & Harry's) endless "racism" charges against the Royal Family (aka, Prince Charles, Prince William, and Princess Kate) to care about the U.S. inner-city violent crime pandemic. Nice.
As for the Washington DC establishment Republicans question, everyone knows the answer to that one, too. For example, the Republican Rick Wilson (Bush Sr.'s Presidential campaign director) and Republican U.S. Representative Liz Cheney (daughter of Bush Jr.'s Vice President) promised to do whatever it takes to kick the hugely successful and hugely popular Republican President Trump out of the White House (which they did) and do "whatever it takes" to prevent President Trump from running for political office ever again ... which the Washington establishment Republicans are covertly in the process of doing in joint efforts with Washington establishment Democrats.
They are not their brother’s keepers and if you ask why the answer is of course: racism.
Maher is more a classical libertarian liberal than today’s “progressives.” He knows he’s out of step with them. He knows it’s cost him as well.
As an American, who happens to be black, I believe that black people no longer have the right to blame white people for their misery. We are killing ourselves without the help of white people. The number one killer of young black men is other black men.

I don’t see any. They’re being fed a constant message of victimhood and that whitey is the cause of all their problems.
I used to listen to the Chicago PD scanner broadcasts online. It was like listening to things happening in a war zone. This was a decade ago so I’ve been saying the same thing for over a decade. IE: Where is Oprah and all the other famous people from Chicago? Why aren’t they out in the streets in Chicago arm in arm protecting? The answer is because they don’t really care and never will unless it is in the political (getting taxpayer money in their pockets) interest.
This is the culture blacks want. It is not debatable that blacks create the culture they want. Any black majority city and nation has shown this since antiquity. Africa, Detroit, Baltimore. The rest of the world needs to stop pretending things will change.

Maher, a reprobate, IMHO, but he’s not mendacious. He’s also a leftard high priest in that cult of evil.
So, when he rings the common sense bell or appears to spout something…conservative, you know damn well, the situation is bad for them.
Maher, has been asking the right questions and discussing problems from a different perspective for well over a year now. I consider it interesting, hopefully constructive.

It’s definitely moving rightward, and the left knows it and have declared war. The Fox/Dominion case is the left trying to stop the movement, IMHO.
Because ANYONE who addresses, and speaks, from a "common sense" POV is IGNORED by the LEFT and the MSM.
