“Vouchers will get abused.”

So too freedom. It seems we need more socialism and totalitarian rule, as that works so well.

More money has not, does not, and will never fix these problems, as many of them are caused by the gov’t itself. The only thing to try now is LESS money. Like zero.

It’s not a failure when it does exactly what the elites want it to do, which is to produce legions of braindead, non-thinking voters who toe all the party line propaganda talking points, and who think that gun rights, limited government, white males, climate “deniers”, and MAGA Republicans are the enemy.

Another problem is that in rural conservative areas the local public school district is often the largest employer and people in rural areas often oppose any changes to the status quo vehemently. This was a big factor why Kentucky has a Dem as Governor right now. Ditto the dyke in Kansas.

This morning I had to explain - in painfully intricate detail -
the basic purpose, function, usage and operation of an electrical
circuit circuit breaker box to a 26 year old male with a BA degree.
He was utterly clueless as to the thing's purpose and even existence.

Western civilization is descending/ed into a new dark ages
were the morons have become the new rulers of society.
And it's decision-makers - may God help us all!

Our civilization is increasingly ceasing to function -
and it is rapidly getting worse.

.

So, with that said, I wish you all a happy Saturday...

- 'were' = where.

Ooops.
But at least I caught my mistake.
I'm NOT a moron here! Nope...

Educators need to change the culture of learning, especially among blacks and Latins, instead of changing the culture about sex and socialism. Of course, that seems to be above their intellectual ability and against their politics.

- 'electrical circuit circuit breaker box'

.

I only needed one 'circuit' in that sentence.
So I guess I AM a moron after all...

Bill Maher continues on his long march out of the insane left. It is a road well travelled. The question is always how far along he will get, and will he be emboldened to openly switch sides? Maybe. Others have. Getting mugged by reality can be either a process or an event.

Has Maher ever interviewed David Horowitz, Peter Collier or Ron Radosh? That would be interesting. I’m dating myself with those examples, but there are many more.

In the early days of National Review, Bill Buckley had a quite colorful collection of legendary warriors including a healthy representation of ex-Trotskyites and, of course, former spy Whittaker Chambers.

Conversion stories are interesting. Not everyone makes it all the way to the right, but Hell has circles and climbing towards the top is always a good thing to do.

I have to agree with Bill on a lot of his points lately.

Money doesn’t fix a failed culture. The people in the culture do

This is our problem in a nutshell.

We’ve reached a point where things that objectively lead to better outcomes like stable marriages, two parents in the home and delayed gratification in favor of financial security are belittled as regressive, even racist. Advocating these things is condemned. You will be canceled.

I have to watch them like a hawk because there are so many f*cking potholes. It’s like, where did the money go? It doesn’t seem like the money is getting to this problem if 85% of black students lack proficiency in reading skills.”

You don't have to be able to read to fill potholes. May I suggest all those that are not proficient in reading and math, never receive welfare. They can be put to work filling pot holes, cleaning streets, picking up liter, removing graffiti and more in exchange for living in a camp and getting two meals per day.

What is he talking about?? Regardless, the education system has exceeded the goals of their puppet masters.
He clearly doesn’t read enough English to know what has and is going on.

It was pretty clear by the 70s that the welfare programs from the 60s which reward mothers without husbands and didn't provide benefits to intact families were resulting in more broken families. Uncle Sam became Daddy Sam and squeezed the real fathers out. The fact that we kept in welfare programs for decades afterwards shows that that was the intent rather than a accidental side effect of how the program was implemented.

The left wanted to break up families.

Maher is a old time liberal, dumb, but not evil.
