It was always a Faustian bargain supporting Donald Trump. It was a bet that supporting Trump could break the hold of the old tired RNC establishment while embracing a messenger everyone already knew was incredibly flawed.

I never kidded myself that Trump was a good man. He is thin-skinned, petulant, lies constantly about trivial and serious things, surrounds himself with sycophants, and in general acts like a 75-year-old man baby.

I had hoped ascending to the presidency could bring out the best in the man. It didn't happen. If we nominate this embittered old loser we will reap the whirlwind---and we will deserve it.

Remember when Trump promised that if he was elected he would act so presidential that we would be bored?

He lied.

Trump has become that Jack Nicholson “Get off my lawn!!!” character. He might beat obviously senile 80 yo Biden, who won’t run again imo, but that’s about the only Dem he could beat. I think he could beat Kamala too, but Dems aren’t that stupid. Cue 55 yo CA Gov Newsome for the save.
