About 80 percent of the FedGov is useless, redundant and serves no purpose other than to find reasons to perpetuate and increase its power.

I say this as a retired FedGov employee.

About 80 percent of the FedGov is useless, redundant and serves no purpose other than to find reasons to perpetuate and increase its power.

Lincoln's cabinet was a Secretary of State, Secretary of Treasury, Secretary of War, Attorney General, Postmaster General, Secretary of Navy, and Secretary of Interior.

The US Constitution has failed to limit the scope and power of its central government. The 10th Amendment was supposed to prevent this, but the poor 10th has been mostly ignored or disregarded by all three branches of government in the last 100 years. After this system fails, the next constitution will need a balanced budget amendment and limits on taxation. The size of the central government will be limited by the amount of money it can seize from the citizens.
