I’ve had the police knock on my door at 1:00 am while I was sleeping upstairs. I woke up, came downstairs and looked through the peephole. I saw it was the police and I asked what they wanted. They said they had a noise complaint. I laughed and told them the only noise I heard was them. They said it was from 5 hours ago and wasn’t a priority, and they wished me a good night and left without shooting me. I see, so are you suggesting the homeowner in THIS CASE knew they were police, but decided to open the door with gun in hand anyway?

You say the cops came to your house at 1:00 a.m. and banged on your door regarding a non-priority call they received at 8:00 p.m. (5 hour earlier) noise complaint on you? And you all had a good laugh and wished everyone good night?
IN THIS CASE, is it possible the homeowner did not know they were cops outside when he opened the door?
