Gov. Ron DeSantis has declared a state of emergency in Broward County, which endured record-breaking rainfall that caused extreme flooding.
The state of emergency allows for the support of Florida resources to assist with the severe flooding.
Which is it?
The governor’s statement references it as a ‘disaster’...
Does localized disasters make a difference to Floridians?
My experience Wed, and that of my friends that live in Broward, was that for most of Broward it was a Spring rain. Obviously, somewhere near the airport got a deluge. I will say that there has been a “run” on gasoline here as of late this afternoon so maybe the Port has disruption...it is very close to the airport. But when Donnie made his claim there was no indication that a Spring rain required DeSantis be in Tallahassee or S. Florida. He was throwing mud for the sake of being disruptive.
