Do you suppose that Duckworth even knows what is an assault weapon? The communists just want to take away guns from law abiding citizens. It is the same as blaming the car instead of the drunk driver for an accident.
Democrats and Communists just want to take away all guns so only they and other criminals have guns.
What a weak argument! Do they ever talk about what drugs the perp was on? Should there be a red flag for trans people? What was the mental condition of the perp? How and when did the perp get his/her/its hand on a gun? Why blame the gun and ignore the person using the weapon?
My reading of the second amendment is that all gun laws on the books are unconstitutional. The communists and Democrats have been ignoring the Constitution for many years.
Duckworth knows about weapons as a retired army officer who was WIA in Iraq and I respect her for that but nothing I have seen and heard lately has has been commendable more likely acts more of a progressive hack than a defender of the constitution.
