I used to work in a VA Hospital. You’re right that posting your associates degree wasn’t important, but a lot of degrees have to do with allowed privileges, such as dispensing medication, prescribing medication, ordering tests, etc.
Not to sound flippant….but their “badge” would grant them access to what they were certified on.
For a telecom tech, knowing they got a certificate from a CC wasn’t a game changer. On the other hand, a surgeon would tell you before you could look them up. Ha ha.
But I understand your point.
Hospitals were very full of egos. Some of them earned. Some not.
