Okay, keep up the nonsense and pi$$ off folks
Granted I was not counting on the effect of the US simply dumping 200B dollars onto that God-forsaken place... nonetheless there is a question that you are ignoring: How many times do need to be right?? Russians have wiped out two hoho armies already (the 300K hoho kia and several hundred thousand maimed beyond the point of continuing military careers). If this new hoho "counteroffensive(TM)" that we read about actually does materialize, it will be hoho/nato army #3... There will not be a #4; this one, that is, if nato actually can get it up for it, will be a final shot.
That, dear poster from St.Petersburg, is your activity
The Ukrainians defeated the Russian attack on Kyiv - winning the battle of Hostomel and the battle for Kyiv.
And, no, it was not a Russian feint — the Russians lost their elite VDV paratroopers.
I have no doubt there will be political infighting should Putin die or otherwise leave power. Medvedev certainly had his fall from grace and is desperately trying to claw his way back up, and it may well not be him who emerges as leader, although he is often viewed by many in “the West” as the most likely candidate. The others range from “almost as bad” to “far worse”.
The point is that those wishing for Putin’s death or fall from power should be careful what they wish for. It will likely be a case of “frying pan into the fire”.
Thanks! That looks like a good (if depdessing) read.
Wow. His wife didn’t know? She must have been a most incurious sort of woman.
Well, there are multiple sides to that

Ha, typical Ruski Alinsky tactic - to turn it around and accuse other people of what you yourself are doing.
Nice try Ivan

Those are excellent graphics. Bump.
Perfect, thanks.
Given that the known contenders for the “throne” are al
spouting more hardline rhetoric than Putin, I think it’s doubtful “any new leader would pull out of Ukraine” but we’ll see. No one has crystal ball that can predict the future. I certainly don’t claim to have one.
Yes, Russia has a number of autonomous regions and is home to various ethnic groups, some troublesome and restive, most happy with the autonomy they enjoy.
As for trouble in the Caucasus, it’s always been a troublesome area. Russia, Turkey and Iran all have an interest in keeping unrest there tamped down, and they do work together on that somewhat. If Nuland & Friends continue trying to stir up Georgia, things could get unpleasant, but again, we’ll see how it goes. Funny how Turkey okayed Finland joining NATO after things quieted down in Georgia, isn’t it? One wonders if a sort of deal was done.

ST - your lack of any historical knowledge is glaring.
2000 years ago = in 23AD, the Slavic peoples hadn’t separated from the Balt’s yet, leave alone splitting among themselves.
And no, they weren’t Christian, so no Churches in the first half of the first century in what is now Ukraine or Russia.
Steve - you keep showing your ignorance in every post.
